The First Louis Vuitton Fall 2018 Bags Have Arrived: Classic Shapes with Crisp Stripes

In my mind, the use of colored leather to contrast with monogram canvas is the most notable thing that's happened to Louis Vuitton ‘s bag collection as a whole since Nicolas Ghesquiere succeeded Marc Jacobs as creative director. Before that, the leather used in women's monogram bags was ivory vachetta, with few exceptions, and the willingness to explore other accent colors immediately put Ghesquiere's stamp on one of the brand's signatures and made monogram feel freshly updated for the next phase in its history. For Fall 2018, Louis Vuitton is continuing the look with a series of bags featuring sleek leather stripes.
The collection includes both new and old classics from the Alma to Neonoe, as well as some of the brand's popular day bags that don't have name recognition that's quite as wide as the brand's most famous pieces.
