• Marriott Continues to Expand Presence in Cuba

    During the first six months of 2017, Cuba saw nearly 2.7 million visitors arrive to explore the country once forbidden to Americans, a number on track to surpass 2016's visitor count of 4.1 million. Despite the ambiguity surrounding the future of Americans' ability to travel to Cuba, Marriott International plans to move forward with its property expansion on the Caribbean island.
    As the first U.S. hotel chain to build on Cuban soil in more than 50 years, the brand hopes to continue building its presence, as interest in traveling to Cuba skyrocketed within the past year.
